Bank Transfer by Worldline

Worldline's new payment method is Bank Transfer by Worldline, part of our Account-to-Account Payments payment solution. It allows your European customers to pay for their e-commerce (online) shopping carts directly from their bank account - simply by logging into their online banking account.
Bank Transfer by Worldline is currently not one of the most common online payment options in Hungary. Domestic payment providers (e.g. Barion, SimplePay, OTP Mobil, Paylike, Borgun) generally do not offer this service as a frontend.
Bank Transfer by Worldline operates in several EU countries, mainly:
- Netherlands (iDEAL)
- Belgium (Bancontact)
- Germany (giropay, paydirekt)
- Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Spain – supported by certain banks
Also available as an integration of certain providers (e.g. Trustly, Klarna, Sofort) in cooperation with Worldline.
This service typically operates as a PISP (Payment Initiation Service Provider) type of payment initiation under the PSD2 regulation.
Bank Transfer by Worldline is a payment solution focused on European markets and is only available to a limited extent or not at all as an accepted payment method outside the EU.
Bank Transfer by Worldline is mainly based on PSD2 regulations and connects to European banking APIs. Outside the EU, there is no uniform regulation or open banking API, so there is no infrastructure for instant, regulated payment initiation.
