Qvik NFC
qvik NFC payment is the most convenient, touch-based version of the Hungarian payment brand introduced by the Hungarian National Bank. While QR code payment requires you to use the camera, qvik NFC allows you to simply touch your mobile phone to the terminal at the point of acceptance – just as if you were paying with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
The difference is in the "background": the money does not run on the network of card companies (Visa/Mastercard), but moves directly between bank accounts via the Instant Payment System (AFR).
Who is it recommended for?
This solution is the "top predator" of the qvik ecosystem in terms of speed, and is therefore specifically optimized for fast-paced situations.
For merchants (The business side): To accept NFC qvik, you usually need a modern terminal (POS) or a smartphone capable of "SoftPOS" (phone acting as a terminal) mode.
- For high-traffic stores: (For example: bakeries, cafes, grocery stores.) Where it is important to minimize queuing. NFC is faster than scanning a QR code, so service remains uninterrupted.
- For those who are worried about card commissions: qvik's transaction fees are fixed for merchants and are typically lower than the percentage fees of international card systems.
- For those who require instant liquidity: The amount paid is in the entrepreneur's account within 5 seconds and can be spent immediately (no need to wait for the next day's settlement).
