Revolut Pay is a digital payment solution that allows customers to complete their online purchases with a single click using their Revolut account balance or saved card details (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), without having to re-enter card information. The service supports Apple Pay and Google Pay payments, as well as saving card details for the next transaction, including for non-Revolut customers. From the merchant side, it supports refunds, partial refunds, recurring payments (subscriptions), two-step payments (pre-authorization and capture), and provides fast settlement within 24 hours to the Revolut Business account. It also supports custom payment page and Pay-by-Link features.

The Revolut Business Payment Acceptance Service is an all-in-one solution that enables Hungarian businesses to accept card payments online (e-commerce) and in-person (POS). All services are directly linked to the business's Revolut account, ensuring fast settlement, typically within 24 hours.
Key Services:
Online Payments (E-commerce): Revolut Pay, Payment Gateway integrations, and easy-to-use Payment Links.
In-person Payments (POS): Dedicated card reader hardware (Revolut Reader and Terminal) and a SoftPOS solution (Tap to Pay on iPhone) that allows businesses to accept contactless payments directly on their iPhone without extra terminals.
Transparent Pricing: Competitive transaction fees, including Hungarian Forint (HUF) pricing.
From May 18, 2026 Revolut Bank UAB operates a Hungarian branch (Revolut Bank UAB Magyarorszagi Fioktelepe). The rollout of Hungarian accounts and HUF IBANs is phased: according to the latest update, some new Hungarian customers are already registered under the Hungarian branch, while existing customers are migrated gradually after individual notification. For merchants, the key relevance is local banking context, AFR/qvik instant-payment direction and HUF settlement, but it does not mean every Hungarian customer has already migrated.
Based on the announced terms, transfers above HUF 50,000 carry a 0.45% fee (capped at HUF 20,000 per transaction). Premium and Metal plans include up to HUF 1 million per month free of charge; Ultra is completely free. Revolut-to-Revolut transfers remain free of charge until December 31, 2026. For exact pricing, Revolut's current official notice remains the primary source.
Revolut's merchant transaction fees depend on the subscription tier and card type. Indicative pricing for the card reader / SoftPOS / online products is around 1.5% + HUF 10; AMEX acceptance is higher (~2.5% + HUF 10). Compare current rates with other solutions on the POSnavigator comparison tool.
Revolut offers its own card reader devices (Revolut Reader, Revolut Terminal) as well as Tap to Pay on iPhone (SoftPOS), which enables card acceptance on an NFC-capable iPhone without separate hardware. Payment Gateway, Payment Links and Revolut Pay cover online sales.
Yes, Revolut's merchant solutions are tied to a Revolut Business account. After the Hungarian branch launch, HUF IBAN and local-branch operation become available gradually across the customer base; the exact account and migration status should always be checked from Revolut's individual notification and current official notice.
Yes. Revolut Business is available in Hungary. Since May 18, 2026 Revolut Bank UAB also operates a Hungarian branch; the Hungarian account / HUF IBAN rollout is phased, starting with some new customers. The bank holds EU payment and banking licences, and the Hungarian branch also creates a local MNB supervisory context.
Fast account opening, low currency conversion fees, real-time notifications and integrated business finance tools. The Hungarian branch and phased HUF IBAN rollout can add local relevance, especially for merchants handling both international and domestic Hungarian flows.
