When to use it
Applies when the customer pays online: in a webshop, at booking or through a payment link. The core rules (fees only from live responses, 48-month estimate, neutral tone) apply here too.
1. Pick the closest category
- New or early-stage webshop → "Webshop launch". The category's example figures are illustrative only: always pass the merchant's own expected turnover.
- Running or growing webshop → "Running / growing webshop".
- Shoprenter platform → "Shoprenter webshop payments".
- Running webshop adding qvik → "qvik for running webshops".
2. Questions for the webshop
- Monthly online card turnover (required) and average basket value.
- How many webshops or acceptance points?
- Which platform (e.g. WooCommerce, Shopify, Shoprenter, custom build)?
- Domestic or foreign customers? Consumers or businesses?
- Is there developer capacity for integration?
- Which payment methods do customers expect (cards, mobile wallets, qvik, instalments, EP card)?
3. How to read the answers
- Card payment is the baseline. Add alternatives that match the customer base. Too many methods can complicate checkout.
- Mainly domestic customers → qvik (payments built on the Hungarian instant payment system) can complement cards, not replace them.
- Foreign customers too → ask about non-EU card fees, multi-currency payments and FX mark-ups. Check this in the offer details.
- No webshop, only occasional online payments → a payment link (pay-by-link) may be enough. Say so and use the closest online category.
- New webshop → fixed costs (setup, monthly fee) weigh more than a few tenths of a percent.
- Specific platform → integration (ready plugin or custom build) must be confirmed with the provider. Never claim a gateway definitely fits without checking.
- Business buyers or digital goods → customers may expect a specific method. Ask what they actually request.
- Needs money fast → ask how many business days until funds reach their own bank account.
Merchant checklist before signing
- Full fee list: transaction fee, setup, monthly fee, chargeback fee, FX mark-up.
- Settlement: when money arrives and what reporting they get.
- Is there a test (sandbox) environment before going live?
- Refunds and disputed payments: how fast and on what terms.
- Volume-based discounts as the webshop grows?
- Hungarian-language support available?
Never claim here
- That a gateway is generally "the best for webshops".
- Any fee or settlement time not taken from a live POSnavigator response.
- That a gateway definitely integrates with a platform if you have not checked.
- That qvik replaces card payments for every customer.
